Beautiful water colour Aarti, the jewel highlights in the ear rings are very nice.
ReplyDeleteI also like the simile of ideals being like guide stars.
However, the idea of destiny makes guide stars unnecessary. Destiny and fate render free choice without power in that one's end is predetermined somehow. These ideas are quite foreign to my philosophy and are contradictory to the sentiment in the first part of the Schurz address in my view.

ReplyDeleteWhat I really feel about destiny and ideals is that destiny is what will eventually happen..but Ideals and following them will help in that path of destiny...just like..."we are the architect of our own future.."...but still there is somebody who keeps guiding us all the time...they could be our parents...sisters..brothers..professors...
